Machinist - Heidenhain Controls
This company, a world-class manufacturer of components and assemblies for the aerospace and defense industries, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Machinist with Heidenhin Controls experience to join their team in East Los Angeles Area.
Job Summary
- Immediate opening for a Day or Night Shift CNC Horizonal Boring Mill (HBM) positions available.
- Operators are responsible for the setup and operation of HBM Milling of aerospace parts.
- HEIDENHAIN Control, FANUC Control, TOSHIBA Control experience required.
- Able to read drawings and blue prints, perform own inspection, ability to build own tools and run parts complete.
- Must have own tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Horizonal Boring Mill (HBM) machines with Heidenhain Controls.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Perform own inspection and quality checks to ensure parts meet customer requirements.
- Build own tools and run parts complete.
- Collaborate with NC Programming department to tackle the most complex parts with various geometries.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining with Heidenhain Controls.
- Experience with FANUC and TOSHIBA Controls is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Experience with milling aerospace parts from various materials including, aluminium alloys, brass, steels, titanium and plastics.
- Ability to perform own inspection and quality checks to ensure parts meet customer requirements.
- Ability to build own tools and run parts complete.
- Must have own tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with little direction.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
